I'm a sucker for a new book...the gorgeous pictures, the seemingly simple patterns, the beautiful finished projects. I have a whole stack of recently-new sewing books, and the number of projects I've started is minimal.

It was one of my first successful kid's sewing projects, one that is easy and clearly explained and produces a really great-looking, well-made garment. I've made a slew of them (check them out here and here).

I've gotten back on my clean-and-organize spurt, and attacked the pantry yesterday. Partially fueled by the new storage containers I got at the store, I spent the afternoon removing, sorting, cleaning, filling, and reorganizing. I've not yet finished the new labeling. Which I love to do!

With the twins approaching age three, we're starting to hit the birthday party circuit. Two schoolmates, who have birthdays a week apart, are having a joint birthday party next weekend. Which, for us, means four presents!

A friend spent this weekend, the first sunny one we've had in months, cleaning up his garden. A big part of that was pruning the five huge rosemary bushes out front.
