As soon as I saw this fabric, the large bolt draped over a display in the fabric showroom, I knew I had to have it. And I knew the perfect piece on which to put it.
The curves of the print look great wrapped around the curves of the wood, and the bolster pillow reminds me of a log, putting a secret smile on my face every time I peek at it.
This chaise came to me by marriage. In it's previous incarnation, it was never a favorite of mine. It's not old, and it's not expensive, but it is sturdy and has some style. In its former life, it was covered in a cheap yellow tapestry-type fabric with poorly made cording and significant fraying and general shabbiness. I was eager to send it the way of the four ugly navy blue bad-fake-oriental-rugs that also came with my husband, but need and thrift necessitated hanging onto it.
I'm so glad I kept it and chose this fabric ... the upholsterers did a great job. I'll post the name/manufacturer of the fabric once I look it up.
FYI, I've got one bad blue rug left.
